Where Our Story Begins
3CEES was born from a moment of real community need. Christine Banwell, our Founder and NHS Community Health Services Pharmacist, spent years working across Lewisham, witnessing the impact of multiple pharmacy closures. As doors shut, vital locally commissioned NHS services began disappearing — services designed to support the wellbeing of residents who relied on them every day.
Neighbours were losing support they depended on, and no one was stepping in. Driven by her passion for community care, Christine founded 3CEES so residents wouldn’t lose the services designed for them. Her belief that every person must have the needed understanding to take their medicines safely is what sparked our beginning.
Our name reflects our purpose:

A Pharmacy Built on Community
We began as a single community pharmacy in Catford, founded on a simple belief: everyone deserves clear, friendly health advice from people who know them by name.
From day one, our focus has been person-centred care — taking time to explain medicines, offering reassurance, and making health support accessible to every family who walks through our doors.
Growing With the Communities We Serve
What started in Catford has grown into support for families across:

Today, we dispense prescriptions, offer free NHS consultations, provide heart rhythm checks, treat common illnesses, and help people manage long-term conditions — always close to home, always with care at the centre.
Our Not-For-Profit Commitment
3CEES is more than a pharmacy. We are a Community Interest Company, reinvesting surplus back into the neighbourhoods we serve.

Training That Protects the Most Vulnerable
Alongside the pharmacy, 3CEES Training delivers CPD-accredited medication training for care staff and care managers. Our training gives teams the confidence and skills to handle medicines safely, protecting vulnerable residents in:
- residential and nursing homes
- mental health rehabilitation services
- community outreach teams
- domiciliary care settings
